The OnePlus 15 smartphone was launched in India on Thursday. This handset is the successor to the OnePlus 15. The device is priced starting at Rs 72,999. The OnePlus 15 is India’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor-powered phone. It features a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. It is backed by a 7,300mAh silicon-carbon battery. It also features a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit for photography.

The 12GB RAM & 256GB storage variant of the OnePlus 15 is priced at Rs 72,999. The 16GB RAM & 512GB onboard storage variant will cost Rs 79,999. However, HDFC Bank card users will get a discount of Rs 4,000.

The phone will be available from the company’s online store and e-commerce site Amazon. It comes in Infinite Black, Sand Storm, and Ultra Violet color options.

OnePlus 15 Smartphone Features

The dual-SIM OnePlus 15 phone runs on Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 custom skin. It features a 6.78-inch Quad HD Plus (1272 x 2772 pixels) AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and a maximum brightness of 1,800 nits. For gaming, it has Eye Comfort, Motion Q, Eye Comfort Reminder, and Reduce White Point.

For performance, the device uses an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with Adreno 840 GPU. It comes with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra+ RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. It comes with various artificial intelligence features like PlusMind, Google’s Gemini AI, AI Recorder, AI Portrait Glow, AI Scan and AI PlayLab.

For photography, the OnePlus 15 smartphone features a triple rear camera setup, powered by the DetailMax image engine. It has a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) Sony IMX906 primary camera with 24mm focal length, autofocus and 84-degree field of view.

It is accompanied by a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 telephoto camera, which supports 3.5x optical zoom and 7x optical quality zoom, and has an 80mm focal length, 30-degree field of view and autofocus. The third lens is a 50-megapixel OV50D ultrawide camera.

The OnePlus 15 will feature a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 selfie camera on the front. The rear cameras of this new OnePlus handset support 8K resolution video. For security, the handset has an in-display ultrasound fingerprint scanner. The phone comes with IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69k ratings for dust and water resistance.

For power backup, the OnePlus 15 smartphone is equipped with a 7300mAh silicon-carbon battery with 120W SuperVOOC fast charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless fast charging support. The company claims that its battery can be fully charged from 0 to 100% in about 39 minutes with 125W SuperVOOC charging.
